Arnold & Scangas Architects is working with the Town of Addison to develop new town offices. The work includes assessing the existing conditions of the Addison Historic Town Hall and investigating possible solutions for its restoration and reuse based on town needs. Proposed improvements to the historic town hall include a new foundation with occupied space in the basement, structural upgrades, roof repairs, insulation, the restoration of interior and exterior finishes, new mechanical and electrical systems, new restroom facilities, a kitchenette, a vault, and ADA compliance. The project includes a small two-story addition to provide ADA accessibility and code-compliant egress from the building. The design team will provide a preliminary estimate of probable construction costs for the proposed project and assist the Town with pursuing grant funding.
