As part of its mission as the premier environmental university, The University of Vermont has committed to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification by the US Green Building Council for all new construction and renovation projects on campus. Arnold & Scangas Architects was instrumental in assisting the university to achieve its first LEED building on campus, the LEED Silver Certified Joseph E. Carrigan Wing life science building. Due to our thorough knowledge of LEED criteria, we were able to assist the University in identifying all possible LEED credits the project could meet, and in performing the needed analyses, documentation and LEED submittals.
